Chapter 1

  1. POUR (e.g., to pour a drink)

  2. DRINK-DOWN (i.e, to drink all of something. “You drank all of your milk!”)

  3. EAT-UP (i.e., to eat all of something. “You ate all of your lunch!”)

  4. DELICIOUS

  5. GROSS (There are two versions, or regional variants, of this sign in one GIF . They have the same meaning. As you socialize more with your local deaf community, you’ll get a sense of which is more common in your area.)

  1. PLAY (This word is also now in the Chapter 6: Playtime vocabulary list.)

  2. TOY (Notice this is the same as the sign PLAY above, but the handshape is the letter-T, rather than the letter-Y one.)
